Blessed...Blessed rain! It finally found me yesterday. It serendipitously began falling during my lunch, so I ran outside and stood in the wonderful, renewing rain! Most everyone looked at me as if I was crazy (I have worked at this place for 12 years...of course I'm crazy!), but I was renewed and refreshed. I had this feeling of euphoria and felt as if I had been cleansed at the deepest emotional and psychic levels. I felt so at peace! I was soaked to the skin, but had a grin on my face that wouldn't go away. I couldn't wait for work to get over so I could go and play!
I have always loved rain, but this is the first experiance I have had like this. It was awesome!
Here is to more rain and a great weekend!

That is a great feeling to have a summer rain wash through your soul..
I love this post. Brings a smile to my face. I sat outside on Tuesday under one of our large trees while the rain fell. It was warm that day and the canopy of the tree was so thick that the rain barely touched me. Casey my golden retriever and I sat there silent and watched the birds fly from tree to tree. It looks like they like playing in the rain too.
The smell is so wonderful. It is that earthy, moist, warm, fresh smell permeating the air and cleanses me. It is basic, simple and relaxing. We shared the same sentiments I see. I can't imagine how some people find rain a hinderence. We are always blessed by the gift of the sky. Bright Blessings to you.
