  • A Musing...

Why do some people have no earthly how destructive they can be when dealing with people? Don't they know that what little good and constructive things they may say to someone can be vaporized by one well placed piece of destructive criticism? Their words can make people feel as if they were 2 inches tall and don't know a thing. Sometimes no matter how hard someone works on a project for these unthinking, sometimes unfeeling people, it is never good enough, THEY are never good enough. A kind word, gentle encouragement, enthusiastic appreciation will motivate people a great deal better than a harshly spoken, destructive piece of criticism.

  • The strange dreams continue...ever onward! I had three this morning! One concerned me working in a real old-fashioned drug store, you know, the ones that had the lunch counters? I was early to work, so I popped into a shop next door (which I KNEW was not the shop it should be!) and when I went to pay for something, I discovered all my stuff was missing from my backpack! I discovered a hole in the bottom of the backpack and when I rushed outside to find my wallet, it was in the middle of the parking lot. Some lady was picking it up and after ascertaining it was really me, gave what little of my stuff back that was left.

I went into the drugstore, somewhat dazed and confused, and my co-workers were there. When I checked my backpack again, the whole bottom was gone and I knew I would have to buy a new one. I thought I was new there because I asked what the employee discount was and I recieved strange looks. Apparently, I had been there at least a year, but I could not remember any of my time there. Then this really good-looking guy came up to me and began talking with me and his name was "Biel". It became rather garbled after that.

I have to go to work, but so I don't forget the other two dreams, one concered being at what I assume was my grandparents house, taking a shower in public again...what's up with that?...driving a van and someone in my family acting as if I was or someone else (sister?) was pregnant... and the last one had to do a with a friend of mine from my real job, and my helping here with something and as we are driving we come up to what could be a weird amusment park....If there were ever any doubt's about me dreaming in colour(Someone else's doubts, not mine! I KNOW I dream in colour)this dream would have proved it to them! (Remember castles...rabbits, unicorns and loud pastel colours!

    Happy Thursday!  I send you...

  • Happy 4th of July! My second favorite holiday and for me a day to catch up on just being! I hope everyone enjoys the day in what ever way you wish to enjoy it and please be safe if handling fireworks.

I do believe I will stay in the cool of my home as we are again having temps in the triple digits and expecting rain (Which oddly enough has not materialized as of yet, despite the thunderstorm warnings we have had! Drats!!)

    Brightest of Blessings,

    Amethyst

  • Okay...It was up to 117 degrees today and we've cooled down to a balmy 110 degrees...*snort*. Now we have a thunderstorm warning...ugh...while I love the rain and will in all likelyhood go out to play in it and behave as if I was 10 instead of 42 ...I hate the heat! It is time for Amethyst to go into hibernation until September!(How I wish I could!) Anyway...here in lovely Las Vegas, my girlfriend and I decided today is Thursday....NOT Monday, but Thursday, tomorrow is Friday and then we have a very short weekend, then it's Thurs and Fri again. It was nice not having a Monday!

The heat is getting to me...and it just started...I'm in big trouble!

Dreaming of a day...nope make that the whole summer up in the cool of the mountains ... I send you...

    Bright Blessings,

    Amethyst

  • Boy, I'm feeling draggy today! Apparently, so is my computer...good heavens, is it slow this morning! I fervently hope this is not a foreshadowing of how my day is going to be! Why do the weekends fly by so quickly and the weeks crawl by at a snails pace? That is just very backwards! Oh well, I hope this week goes well for everyone, I for one can't wait for Wednesday! We may not be able to afford to do anything, but it is a much needed mid-week mini-vacation...huzzah!

    Bright Blessings,

    Amethyst
