Well, here is my list of goals for the New Year. With the exception of number 1, these are in no particular order. Number one is the path by which I can accomplish the other goals on my journey!
1. First and foremost...Turn off the TV! I have fallen back into habit of having it on for the noise without really watching it, although I am planted in front of it. This is SUCH a waste of time! There is so much I could and would be doing, if I limited my TV viewing to the one or two shows I really want to see.
2. Focus on developing the beauty inside and worry less about my lack of beauty outside
3. Find a subject of interest, explore and study it...I need to learn new things!
4. I am ready (once again…kinda got side tracked last year) for further studies in Wicca and Paganism in general. I feel the need to pick up again, devote significant time and attention so that I may gain more knowledge and experience. I need to develop the confidence in myself, that I have the power inside to change my life and myself. I believe other people have the power, I know some of my friends do...I have been told I have the power, but self doubt is an insidious unwanted guest. I need to learn to trust myself and look inside for the truth I seek.
5. I will cherish my friends! (This is the easiest!)
6. I will cherish myself! (This is the hardest!)
7. Stop worrying about finding love in my life and learn to be comfortable with my own company.
So there it is, such as it is. May I accomplish more of what I set out to do this year, than I did last year. Although, there was tremendous growth and self awakening last year…that’s why they call it growing pains…there is growth through pain.
Much love and Brightest Blessings,
Amethyst

Hmmm...you said: "2. Focus on developing the beauty inside and worry less about my lack of beauty outside"
I say you have beauty on the outside you do not take credit for having! Who said all women have to look like movie stars and all men have to look like studs? Is a falling leaf any less beautiful if it's marred by the bites of a catepillar? NO!

Always a good idea my dear...the brain has so much potential if we but use it!

I say.....you have to be like NIKE and JUST DO IT! We so often fail to see the beauty within ourselves, just as we forget to see and be grateful for the personal strengths we have! We spend so much time WISHING we were something else than we are....are we under the impression that God/dess made a mistake in the creation of us? Do we believe that we are less than the perfect creation that we are? I think we do too often...it starts with a thought whether good or bad, it's a thought that repeats...I am....."" what am I? I am beautiful....my body might not be appealing to everyone, but you know what? I don't care anymore! I used to...I used to think I --had-- to be that supermodel, etc etc...now I realize that my greatest assets lie beneath the skin that ages with each passing year...beneath so many layers of me....you too will see your beauty when you start looking for it and EXPECTING IT TO BE WITHIN YOU!!! The outer glow of confidence changes a persons' appearance to all who they encounter!!! SEE Your Power...EXPECT to find it and it'll happen right before your eyes!
You said: "6. I will cherish myself! (This is the hardest!)"
Why? Why should this be the hardest? Is it because you don't live up to your own expectations? Or are you TRYING to live up to the expectations of another who has yet to perfect themselves? DO NOT WORRY SO MUCH!! JUST DO IT!!! Cherish yourself....damned right! You are an intricate part of the plans of the universe....that makes you VERY VERY FREAKIN IMPORTANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't you EVER think that it doesn't! If someone tells you otherwise, scoff at them and remember that they too may be unenlightened and perhaps your lead will help them on the path to self-discovery as well....Are you harder on you than others? If so, WHY?! You should give yourself the same love and compassion and understanding, etc that you'd give ANYONE ....you above all else deserve it from yourself! It's not the hardest part....UNLESS YOU THINK IT IS OR CHOOSE CHOOSE CHOOSE TO make it thusly!
You ARE loved my dear....beautiful Amethyst Lady!
