My friends just left and the apartment feels so empty. I had a wonderful weekend. I met up with them at the convention yesterday and was able to hear Kate Mulgrew speak. I love her! She was wonderful. I so enjoyed listening to her and her stories from the taping of Voyager. The only other person I really wanted to see was Nana Visitor. She is my other favorite. I met her several years ago and she is one of the warmest, friendliest, Most real people I have ever had the pleasure to meet. I have had the opportunity to meet several Star Trek celebrities as Iused to work the conventions. Most were great, some I never ever want to see again. But Nana is my all time favorite. Mike ran into her at our first convention together and he asked her if he could take her picture for me. She had her toddler son, Buster with her and asked if he could be in the picture too.Mike said of course. Buster had just had some blue candy and so I have this picture of Nana cuddling with Buster and his lips are blue from the candy. I treasure that picture.
Anyway had a ball with my friends and had them over for my famous spaghetti tonite. It was so nice having them here as well as an old friend I ran into at the con. I haven't seen Dieter in a couple of years and I was always so fond of him. We share the same birthday! I love to entertain and michael was never very big on it. Now I can have peple over anytime I want.
I would love to have my Xanga family for a visit . How cool would that be? Well, it's late and I have work tomorrow. It's a short week for me...Huzzah!!! Which means of course, it will be a very long week{sigh}.
Big Bear...five days and counting. Yippee!
