I have been to my various clubs and sites and have been blessed by the thoughts and love of others. A friend of mine wrote this and it speaks volumes...
"Already there are reports of attacks on mosques and Arab communities around the country. Those responsible for the atrocities are fanatical criminals, with no justification for their acts in the Koran. To victimize other innocents is to become terrorists ourselves. And ultimately they end up winning. So, where do we go from here? We must hold fast to what sets us apart from those who act so senselessly even as we bring them to justice."
This same friend, his brother and the rest of their group were in a horrible accident about two years ago. By rights, they should all have died, but they didn't...yes their world was turned upside down, it took about 10 months to recover, and I believe some still struggle with healing, but they survived. As they were recuperating, they were very introspective and wrote many songs to help them deal with this event in their lives. My favorite, and I know many of my friends share this with me, is a song called "Hang On". The chorus is as follows...
"Hang on to all the little things you love, let go of all the things that don't feel good, 'cause you know, when we go, we don't take anything at all". Brother "Hang On"
May we all hang on to the love, friendship and hope that surrounds us, envelopes us, and infuses us.
